Dr. Wolfgang B. Hecker leads HH Global Partners as Senior Managing Director. Prior to his involvement with HHGP, he had an outstanding career in the semiconductor industry.

In 1990, he co-founded Mazet GmbH, a leading specialist in electronic color and spectral sensor systems, and led the company until its sale in 2016. Mazet’s technologies are used in diverse applications including aircraft interior lighting, agricultural sensors, and medical skin lesion analysis. In 2016, Wolfgang managed the sale of Mazet to ams AG, a global leader of high performance sensors and analog ICs with EUR 2bn in market capitalization in 2016. The strategic acquisition extended ams’ market leadership in advanced optical sensors and strengthened ams’ position in emerging optical sensing applications.

Prior to co-founding Mazet, Wolfgang Hecker worked as a chip designer and software developer at VEB Mikroelektronik Erfurt and was significantly involved in various strategic and high profile development projects. Wolfgang studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Ilmenau and completed his doctorate and habilitation at the Technical University of Dresden on topics related to microelectronics, he was also member of the supervisory board of IMMS, Research Institute for Microelectronical and Mechatronical Systems at the Technical University of Ilmenau.

During his free time, Wolfgang is a competitive long-distance offshore regatta sailor.

Tobias A. Habbig is an experienced investor with extensive experience across private markets and investment banking.

Most recently, he served as Head of Europe at a leading mid-market fund, and previously worked at Apollo Global Management and Partners Group in London, New York, and Zug, where he sourced, structured, and managed investments across asset classes. 

Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers, focusing on leveraged finance and M&A.

Tobias Habbig holds an MBA-equivalent degree from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and a bachelor-equivalent degree from the University of Cologne. He also studied in the United States and France, and was awarded scholarships from, among others, the Foundation of German Business and the Erasmus Programme.

Dr. Jana Hecker brings over two decades of leadership across global investment banks and equity capital markets. She began her career at J.P. Morgan in New York and later held senior posts at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank. In 2020, she was appointed Global Head of Equity Capital Markets at UniCredit (Munich), where she oversaw equity origination and underwriting for European issuers, chaired key equity underwriting/commitments processes, and guided IPOs and pre-IPO financings across multiple jurisdictions.

Kilian Günthner is a product designer and legal professional working at the intersection of software, technology, and early-stage investing.

At HHGP, he advises on financing rounds, due diligence, corporate structuring, and product and technology evaluations for founder-led companies. He is also the creator of Music Tools (iOS), which informs his practical view on interaction design and product-market fit.

Before joining HHGP, Kilian Günthner founded Aletho, a social-impact platform connecting refugees with private hosts. He previously worked in M&A at GÖRG and studied law at the University of Cologne on a full scholarship from the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. He later continued his research as a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford.
